Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the moment. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made her skills, she placed second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. She then went to the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in the events.
